Is it wise to invest more in a business you no longer love?
When you’ve fallen out of love with your business it’s scary, isn’t it?
You’ve spent so much time building what you already have, it’s terrifying to think about making a big change and starting again. And even more so when you know you want things to be different, but can’t figure out what that even looks like.
It’s not as if you don’t have ideas. But every time you sit down to think about it, you get in a muddle, your inner critic won’t pipe down, and you’re riddled with self-doubt before you even start.
So what do you do?
Stay put, going the through motions and hoping the answer will fall from the sky?
Or take a deep breath and tackle it head on?
Either way, you’re making a choice. The choice to do nothing and stay stuck, which means feeling exactly the same way in six months’ time. Or the choice to take back control, embrace the adventure, and start figuring it out.
When you look at it that way, it’s a no-brainer, right?
Only it isn’t quite that simple, is it?
First of all, where do you even GO for help with this sort of thing?
And second of all, when you’re feeling so unsure – and the thing that’s been making you money doesn’t light you up any more – you’re probably not too keen on throwing more money at the situation.
What if it doesn’t work?
Will it be money down the drain? Money you might need to pay the bills if you can’t find a way to fix things?
That’s a genuine concern, and you’re right to be cautious. After all, we don’t know how long it might take to get you making money in a way that brings you joy again.
So if money is a worry, let’s think about your options.
No cost: What skills and resources do you already have that might help you make sense of the muddle and create a plan to move forward? Are there any podcasts that will inspire you and help you find the clarity you’re looking for? Do you have friends you trust – ideally who understand being a solo business owner - who are great sounding boards for these sorts of conundrums?
Low cost: Are there any books that could help you come up with ideas and find a way forward? (Be A Free Range Human by Marianne Cantwell is great. It’s about escaping the 9-5, but the focus on finding the path that’s right for YOU is just as relevant when you’re already doing your own thing but it’s not feeling fun anymore.)
What about online courses or workshops designed to get you unstuck? Might any of the low-cost DIY options out there give you the boost you need?
You know yourself best - would those sorts of approaches work for you?
If so, where will you start?
As the saying goes, if you change nothing, nothing changes. So choose your next step now.
When your attempts to DIY it aren’t working, then what?
I’ve had moments where a chat with a pal, reading a good book or working through a course has given me everything I need to move forward.
And I’ve also got myself in even more of a pickle by going solo, attempting to mind-map my way out of a sticky situation and going round and round in circles of confusion.
If that happens to you too, what other options do you have?
Well, you could stay stuck, waiting for a lightning bolt of clarity that will jolt you into action.
Or, if your attempts to DIY it aren’t working and you can’t bear the thought of still feeling like this in six months’ time, you could choose to invest in figuring things out.
At that point, you might think that the only option is to work with a coach. And sure, you could do that. Coaches are brilliant. I’ve worked with many over the years.
But working with a good coach for 6 months would probably cost thousands of pounds.
And that kind of investment when you’re as fearful and uncertain as you are right now?
Yikes!
(Unless of course you have plenty squirreled away, in which case go for it!)
If only there were a lower cost option that would still give you the 1:1 support you need to figure out what the next chapter might look like and would help you start taking action…
Oh, wait a minute. There is!
(I know, I know… cheesy. But I couldn’t resist 😂)
Find a way forward with me, for a fraction of the cost
When you’re untethered, scared, and feeling like you’re failing, you don’t want to wait months to feel better. You want to feel differently now. That doesn’t necessarily mean having all the answers, but is about finally being able to the beginning of a path forward. It’s about taking steps towards a different future.
And that’s where I come in.
When you trust me to help you find your way out of the fog, you’ll have space to dream.
Your inner critic will have their say (but without shutting the whole thing down).
And your inner wisdom will have its moment in the spotlight, so you can start to see a way forward (even if you don’t yet have all the answers).
Wouldn’t that be better than sitting in fear and uncertainty, waiting for divine intervention?
After our very first 1:1 session, you’ll feel clearer, lighter and will have reconnected with a sense of possibility.
And after our second session, you’ll know the direction you want to head in and be ready to start taking action.
Throw in six months' of planning support to help you keep moving forward, and you’ll be excited about your next chapter and well on your way to making it happen.
And I get it. Pumping more money into a business that doesn’t feel good is daunting. That’s why I’ve kept the cost as low as I can (this is the most affordable way of working with me 1:1).
It’s just £750 for 1:1 support AND the ongoing guidance you need to keep you moving forward for six whole months.*
Does that still feel like a scary amount, when the future is so uncertain?
I get it, and I never want anyone to put themselves in a financially precarious situation by working with me.
So please know that if you’re in real financial difficulty, this is not a quick fix for getting money through the door tomorrow.
We will find a way forward that allows you to make money in a way that excites you again. But how long that takes to come to fruition will depend on your situation, and the direction you want to go in. (One thing I do know, though, is that your new direction will take even longer to bear fruit if you don’t take the seeds out of the packet. 😉)
I’ve made this offer as affordable as I can, and I also offer a payment plan so you can split the cost over three or six months if you prefer.
In case it helps, here’s what a few of my clients have said after experiencing this work for themselves:
“Seeing the issue from different perspectives made it much easier for me to see where I am getting in my own way and how I can challenge my critical thinking (of which I seem to have a lot!). I do feel a lot lighter and under less pressure about it now and I’m ready to take action to start moving forward.”

”Well that was different! Louise has turned my thinking about and given it a good shake. I came to the session feeling quite lost and a little apprehensive. But with her gentle guidance I was able to process the muddle in my head and actually begin making some sense of the right possibilities. I feel equipped to take some action and excited for what may come. Louise is the magic star everyone needs in their toolkit!”
